Semantic evolution is a common phenomenon in Malaysian Mandarin as a result of contact of at least 3 languages.Due to the number of languages Malaysian Chinese has to know,changes of semantic might involves more than 2 languages and turns out to be indirectly and complicatedly.Said study will focus on how the semantic change in the spoken language of Malaysian Chinese and will try to clarify how semantic was effected by languages with different structure and system under a multi lingual environment.By referring to some of the developed theories,we try to provide patterns of semantic evolution which are more suitable and able to fit better to the language condition of Malaysia.Said paper was divided into 6 chapters as below:1st chapter:Introduction on why and how said research will be made,the current condition of related researches,what to study on,source of materials and result expected.2nd chapter:It was divided into 2 parts.The first part is the brief introduction on multi lingual environment of Malaysia,both Malay and Chinese people in Malaysia,Malay Language and Malaysian Mandarin,and the second part is introduction on developed concepts of semantic evolution caused by language contact.3rd chapter:Introduction and analysis on semantic innovation of Malay words in Malaysian Mandarin.4th chapter:Introduction on form transforming in form and sound borrowing and semantic copying of Malay words in Malaysian Mandarin.5th chapter:Introduction on element reconstruction of Malay words in Malaysian Mandarin.6th chapter:Conclusion of how language contact affect Malaysian Mandarin under multi lingual environment.
