A Study Of Language Contact Among Wu Dialect, Nanjing Dialect And Putonghua

This paper mainly researches the interaction process among the Wu dialect, Nanjing dialect and Putonghua. And it emphatically describes the general appearance of the Putonghua with Wu accent.This paper put forward several concepts, which were offered from Professor Wang Ping, to research the difficult of the Putonghua with Wu accent. And we still advocate, the difficult degree includes two levels, the one is low level, and the other is high level. These two concepts could explain the different senses award concerning the Putonghua with dialect accent. This article quotes two concepts, "majority societal language" and "minority societal language", which come from the theory of language contact, to explain some linguistic phenomenon. And we also adopt some achievements of the vocabulary diffusion theory in order to show the evolvement of the Putonghua with Wu accent.In the process of this research, we found a special phenomenon. Compared with Wu dialect, Nanjing dialect has a limited influence over the Putonghua with Wu accent. At the last part of this paper, we use the theory of sociolinguistics to show the development of Nanjing dialect, and we try to discuss the reason of this special phenomenon from both social background and cultural.
