Exploration And Experience On The Grey Tone Of Mimeograph Tinted In The Woodcut

It is well known that Mimeograph Tinted Woodcut is one of an important classification in wood block and the oily texture is its unique artistic characteristics.This thesis mainly explore on a special tint---“Grey”,which is not about a simplex color but a kind of composite color that reconciled by a series of low lightness tints.As a result,the graphics that reconciled by these different kinds of composite color is grey tone paintings.This article focuses on the introduction of Mimeograph Tinted Woodcut,and the analyzation on the artistic characteristics of grey tone.And it also elucidates the grey tone’s importance through appreciating and analyzing print artists’ works.In this graduation creation,the author carries out a research base on the color theory to explore the grey tone’s expressive forms in Mimeograph Tinted with great efforts,and this research consists of three aspects,including tints,engraving art of using saber and expression of feelings.With author’s unremitting research and practice,finally she finds that the grey tone can construct a harmony and elegant prospect for graphics when depicting an object,which is much more inherent and impressive.As a result,the printer can resonate with the audience on the emotion.
