The Analysis Of The Textual Research On Jingdian Shiwen By Lu Wenchao

The classical documentations always changed a lot in their history of spreading,which bring along the work of emending.The history of emendation in China begins long time ago and it developed its own features.The Qing Dynasty was one of the most important period in the history of emendation.There were many famous emendation scholars at that time and one of them was Lu Wenchao.Lu Wenchao,as a great collator,finished the book,the Textual Research on Jingdian Shiwen after his working of emendating Jingdian Shiwen.This book attached importance to the research of Jingdian Shiwen.By analyzing this book,we can find out how Lu Wenchao do the emendation and practice his principles of collating work.There are five main parts in this paper.The first part show the research status and in the second part,there is the introduction of the book,the Textual Research on Jingdian Shiwen.And in the next part,the paper shows the four main principles in Lu Wenchao's work,such as the complete comparing,never jumping to conclusions and so on.And in the fourth part,this paper evaluates Lu Wenchao's work according to the fragmentary copy of Jingdian Shiwen in Japan and a book named Xiaoxuean Yishu.And in the last part,we can see some examples of Lu Wencao's mistake in his collating work of Jingdian Shiwen.In summary,Lu's achievement of collating still has its value in nowadays.
