A Study On Women’s Travel Literature In Taiwan

With the rapid development of social economy,people’s living standards continue to improve,as well as large innovation of transportation,travel has become a popular leisure activities,then travel literature has become a writing trend.Compared with the Chinese mainland,Taiwan’s travel literature writing has become more and more prosperous.It has become a popular literary phenomenon in Taiwan literary world in recent years,and women writers play an important role in it.Some of Taiwanese online writers,such as Zhong Wenyin,Chen Yuhui,Huang Baolian,Hao Yuxiang,Su Weizhen,Zhang Yueli,Li Li,Shi Qiongyu,Zhang Huijing and so on,has written a large number of works related to travel since the 1990 s,which full of consciousness,and recorded how women across the family barriers bravely,out of the male visual threshold,into the vast world of spiritual journey in a new era background.Through the travel writing,female travelers break the fate of being watched,spoken and written,and begin to take the initiative to observe the world,depict scenery and write a journey,and then the women’s subjective consciousness awakening.The first chapter combs the historical development of Taiwan women’s travel literature creation,and finds out that the travel literature of Taiwanese women writers since the 1990 s is different from the writing characteristics of the previous era,showing a more diversified creation space for women writers in the new era.The second chapter,based on the gender perspective,introduces the theory of feminist criticism and explores the female writers in Taiwan since the 1990 s,through travel writing,jumping out of the original survival difficulties of women,crossing the gender limits,striving to break through the self and pursue equality.The third chapter expounds the various creative features of Taiwan women travel literature since 1990 s shows,including the paradox of hometown and a conversion,geographical space and the spiritual changes,and blend convergence of culture,and women’s pursuit of self life value.The fourth chapter by comparing the travel literature of Taiwan women writers with contemporary male writers and contemporary Chinese mainland women writers,this paper finds out its unique features.Through the discussion and research of Taiwan contemporary female travel literature since the 1990 s,it can be found that today’s female travelers are out of their homes and travel into the world is of great significance: on the one hand,it shows the promotion of female social status and female self consciousness of the awakening,on the other hand also let the travel literature of this genre won a variety of development and wonderful.
