The Relationship Between Gratitude,Meaning In Life And Well-Being Of High School Students | | Posted on:2018-01-14 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:H X Qiu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330515994640 | Subject:Mental health education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | To further study the relationship between gratitude,meaning in life and well-being of high school students and mechanism of gratitude to well-being.This study mainly examined the relationship between gratitude,meaning in life and psychological well-being of high school students and the mediational role of meaning in life on the relationship between gratitude and well-being of high school students,investigated 497 high school students by using The Adolescent Gratitude Scale(AGS),Meaningful Life Measure(MLM)and Multiple Happiness Questionnaire(MHO).The results indicated that:(1)The whole gratitude level of high school students is medium to high.The whole level of meaning in life and well-being of high school students is slightly medium to high.There are a significant differences in gender of the expression and returns to profits from others,the perceptions and experiences to profits from others,the perceptions and experiences to profits from the nature,and the girl have higher seores of these aspects than boys.There are also a significant differences in location of the perceptions and experiences to profits from society,and the students from rural have higher scores of this aspect than urban.But there are not significant differences in grades,only child or non-only child and majors.(2)The gratitude of high school students is positively related to their psychological well-being.And gratitude can significantly predict psychological well-being.(3)The gratitude of high school students is positively related to their meaning in life.And gratitude can significantly predict meaning in life.(4)The meaning in life of the high school students partially mediated the relationship between gratitude and well-being of high school students.Conclusion:Gratitude not only can improve the level of subjective well-being of high school students,making them more happy,at the same time,also can improve the level of psychological well-being of high school students,let them experience the more value and significance of life. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | high school students, gratitude, meaning in life, well-being | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
