This paper involves discovering how to ‘Mix and Match’ different types of singing such as operatic singing,spiritual singing and Jazz singing with bel canto to generate an unique method of singing to affect the interpretation of the work by looking at the episode “I love you,Porgy” from “Porgy and Bess”.This paper has three chapters.The introduction gives us a an overall understanding of the main purpose.Chapter one tells the basic story-line of those two major characters: Porgy and Bess.And also the introduction for both composer and playwritter.Chapter two analyzes the episode “I loves you,Porgy” of its opera,category and style as well as the comparison of this work from other singers.Chapter three discuss the feasibilities of ‘Mix and Match’ including the explanation of the concept,the influence of the opera and other thoughts of this singing method.Also talk about the concept of the Jazz music and the spiritual and talk about the issue of the nationality of “Porgy and Bess”,The conclusion is at the end of this work.
