On The Contemporary Ethical Significance Of Marx's Consumption Alienation Thought

“Alienated Labor” in Karl Marx's theory is always a hot research area in philosophy field,and “Consumption Alienation” has been constantly appeared.With the development of industrial civilization,people's needs raised,from basic needs up to the needs of enjoyment.It hinders the development of human beings,and also may lead to disharmony between human and various environments.However,people should consider the problem of consumption alienation from Marx's dialectical perspective.Consumption alienation may have bad effects,but it may accelerate the development of production.This paper firstly reviewed the historical evolution of Marx's consumption alienation thought,and then briefly illustrates its ideological sources and analyzes its main contents.Secondly,the exposure and criticism on consumption alienation of capitalism with Marx's consumption alienation thought were discussed.Thirdly,combined with consumerism and Marx's consumption alienation thought,it criticizes contemporary consumerist values.Finally,it focuses on the significances and enlightenments of contemporary social consumption ethics which exerted by Marx's consumption alienation thought.And it thoroughly dissects contemporary social consumption ethics and proposes feasible measures to form a scientific consumption ethics.In this regards,the representation of Marx's consumption alienation thought will have great realistic significances on all-round development of humans and socialist harmonious society.This paper comprehensively elaborated the contemporary ethical significance in light of Marx's consumption alienation thought and provides guidance for people's consumption patterns and conceptions.It not only deepens people's understanding of Marx's consumption alienation thought,but also develops people's research on consumption alienation and contemporary consumption ethics,which would be a reference in the construction of the socialist harmonious society in China.
