Strategies Of C-E Consecutive Interpretation From The Perspective Of Deverbalization

With the rapid development of global economy,the cultural and political exchanges between nations are much more frequent,as well as the national visit among national leaders.The remarks made by those leaders contain significant meaning.It can contribute to the amicable friendship between different countries,and can be an indicator for the economic and political development between nations.Thus,it requires a high standard translation.The theoretical basis of this thesis is interpretive deverbalizationtheory,and the language sourcesof this thesis is author’s mock interpretation of Mr.Xin Jinping’s speech made in the National University of Singapore.This thesis aims to discuss the C-E consecutive interpretation strategies by using the deverbalizationtheory.In the first part of the thesis,author states two aspects of deverablization,namely,words deverablization and logic deverablization;then,in the following part of the thesis author stresses the importance of deverablizationfrom the aspect of easing the interpreter’s memory burden and expressing the target language in a more authentic way.Finally,author concludes the following four strategies,including explanation,simplification,logic restructure and word order adjustmentafter analyzing the corpus.This study has the practical meaning in enlightening the beginners in interpretation,and in guidance to a more flexible and authentic target language output,and to ensure a high qualified communication.
