Study On The Evolution And Development Of Tujia Hand-waving Dance

Tujia is an ethnic minority group with a long history and relatively developed culture.Hand-waving dance is the cultural crystallization of the Tujia people for thousands of years.It is a traditional folk dance that displays Tujia style and reflects Tujia life.With the development of the world economic globalization and the infiltration of various cultures,traditional sports are undergoing changes in varying degrees,which is worth our thinking,and the hand-waving dance does the same.Hand-waving dance is one of the core intangible cultural heritage of the Tujia nationality.Intangible cultural heritage is a significant part of national culture,embodying the vitality and creativity of national culture.The protection of intangible cultural heritage is fundamental to safeguard the cultural identity and cultural rights of all ethnic groups.Strengthening the study of the inheritance and protection of hand-waving dance is the need for the development of Tujia nationality and the need to safeguard the diversity of ethnic culture.In this paper,the historical evolution and future development of hand-waving dance in Enshi are studied through documentation,field survey,interviews,and logical analysis,aiming to clarify the problems existing in the development of Tujia hand-waving dance at this stage and to explore how to make up for it,integrating into the development of the times,and puts forward feasible measures on the basis of not only protecting the cultural connotation but also influencing the development of the era.The results of the study concluded that:One,as a part of Tujia culture,hand-waving dance will inevitably change with the changes of Tujia culture.The causes of cultural change are either caused by the changes within the society or by the changes in the natural environment and the changes in the social and cultural environment such as migration,contact with other nations,and political systems changes.Therefore,the evolutionary process of the hand-waving dance is also evolved in the national war and population migration,evolved in the national belief,changed with the social living environment,and evolved in the fitness and entertainment activities.Two,hand-waving dance is a national culture created by the Tujia people,to protect this culture,must start with the Tujia people themselves.Hence,this thesis has studied the development of hand-waving dance in urban and rural areas,schools,and tourist attractions,and learned that there are currently limitations,mainly including the following aspects: The government's working mechanism is not perfect,laws and regulations are not sound,and capital investment is not in place;The competition mode is not fixed;Inheritors fault;There is a shortage of professionals and a small range of publicity.Three,For the protection and development of hand-waving dance,it must be clarified that relying solely on the strength of the government is not enough,and the role of experts,scholars,social organizations,and folk artists must also be brought into play.Experts and scholars,as advisors to government departments and related organizations,have played a great role in government's promoting the protection and development of ethnic cultures,while social organizations are mainly directed at the protection and development effect of ethnic cultures by business groups.The inheritance of any kind of material must rely on a specific carrier to achieve it,and the quality of the carrier also determines the quality of the inherited material.As a kind of Chinese folk culture,the inheritance of hand-waving dance is achieved by its folk artists.Therefore,experts,social organizations,and folk artists are indispensable components in the inheritance and development process of hand-waving dance.In the course of investigating and researching the promotion of hand-waving dance,I proposed the following suggestions based on the current problems in the development of hand-waving dance:(1)Strengthen the main role of the government,experts and scholars,business groups and folk artists in the protection and transmission of hand-waving dance.While introducing and improving the laws and regulations relating to hand-waving dance,the government must also protect the inheritors and data of hand-waving dance,and organize more hand-waving dance competitions to meet the needs of various age groups.Make full use of business groups to increase the introduction of funds to establish a folk eco-tourism area and create a brand culture with hand-waving dance.Use experts and scholars to excavate the hand-waving dance culture and restore the truth of hand-waving dance.Use folk artists to enhance the communication between hand-waving dance and the outside world and expand the participation of people.Use the school's education base to nurture more hand-waving dance culture successors.(2)Expand the influence of hand-waving dance in schools.Build hand-waving dance education inheritance bases,improve and unify teaching materials related to hand-wring dances,enhance and cultivate teachers of hand-kicking dances,carry out hand-waving dance competitions,stimulate students' initiative in learning hand-waving dances,promote the inheritance of hand-waving dance,and fully create the condition of hand-waving dances development.(3)Television and news media should increase publicity of hand-waving dance so that when people sit around,they will be able to understand the hand-waving dance and know the dance.Increase the tourism publicity of the national characteristics and geographical characteristics of Enshi Prefecture,promote the sales of goods,launch the activities of tourist attraction activities,and attract more tourists to experience the culture of Tujia,so as to understand and know well the hand-waving dance culture to achieve the purpose of conscious participation in dance.
