The comfort women system is recognized as a system of military sexual slavery and as a "crime against humanity." Thousands of women from Korea,China and the Philippines were forced into sexual slavery in Japanese military brothels during the Second World War.There are now more actual reflection and concern in regards to this sort of disaster committed against these victims. So this historical document is served as one proof that the comfort women were forced into prostitution and that Japanese military was involved. This translation report, taking the translation of Research Report 120(15 Nov 45)as an example,is aimed at indicating the translator's ideology collides with the structuring of the subjectivity of the translator by discussing the relation between ideology and the translator's subjectivity. The report falls into four chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to the research background and preparations for translation.Chapter Two is a review of the manipulation theory, laying down the theoretical foundation of the thesis. The text part goes to Chapter Three, which demonstrates the subjectivity of the translator in terms of language, culture and communication.Chapter Four is the conclusion. The thesis believes ideology plays an important role during the process of translation, while the translator's personal ideology is definitely influenced by the social ideology. In terms of the issue of“comfort women",the two factors are consistent. The translator's ideology,on the other hand, will take an effect on the subjectivity of the translator, consequently,on the choice of translation strategies.
