An Error Analysis On Inverse Morphemes Words Using By English-Speaking Learers

Inverse morphemes word is a special kind of lexis in Chinese.This kind of words can be accepted when the order of morphemes is reversed,which fully shows the flexibility of word-building in Chinese.After the order of morphemes reversing,the appearances of a pair of words are similar,but the meanings,word classes and the structures might change.Therefore,for foreign people who learn Chinese,these words are hard to master.Based on former researches,this dissertation defines the inverse morphemes word from synchrony aspect.As for the object of study,29 pairs of inverse morphemes words has been selected from National Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency.Using the theory of Interlanguage,the types and reasons of errors that English-speakers use inverse morphemes words in Chinese have been analyzed,via the resource of corpus and the results of the questionnaire.The dissertation also focuses on the way that inverse morphemes words are presented,explained and exercised in the course books.According to these information,some advice about course books and class has been come up.The dissertation can be divided in to six chapters as follow:The first chapter is introduction.It includes the reasons of choosing this topic,as well as the literature review.It also introduces the contents,value,methods and basic theory of the research.Another parts is the definition of the term.The second chapter is inverse morphemes words in National Syllabus of Graded Words and Characters for Chinese Proficiency.Inverse morphemes words are picked out and classified in terms of their features.The third chapter is the questionnaire and it's results.The mastery degree of inverse morphemes words is checked through both exercises and issues.The fourth chapter is the uses of inverse morphemes words in the corpus.The error examples are selected and divided in different types,according to their characteristics.According to different categories of errors,the causes of the errors are discussed separately.Then based on the causes,some solutions will be put forward.The fifth chapter is the analysis of course books and suggestions.Using three pairs of inverse morphemes words as example justices the presentation,exemplification and exercise in New Practical Chinese Reader and Boya Chinese.Then some advice is given.
