Anti-corruption is a hot topic in Chinese society today,which has been attracting great attention.Corruption ruins the social ethos and severely hinders the development of the society.Chinese government always attaches great importance to anti-corruption,and China's ruling Communist Party also put forwards that fighting against corruption is a major task in the construction of the party.Nowadays,the anti-corruption campaign is developing deeper and deeper,and countries worldwide are strengthening the international cooperation in anti-corruption area.Each country has its social system and the political,legislative and cultural development differs among them,but they all face similar challenge on anti-corruption issues.There is a saying that there are other hills where stones are good for working jade.Countries definitely can gain governing experience from other countries.This thesis attempts to study the historical corruption governance experience and the legislative mechanism of anti-corruption in the United States from the aspect of comparative law and analyze the significance of the legislative mechanism of anti-corruption in order to provide a reference framework for Chinese judicial officers and legal professionals.This thesis can be divided into three parts: the Introduction;the main text;and the Conclusion.The Introduction mainly discusses the research target of this thesis,the current research situation at home and abroad as well as the research method applied in this thesis,the purpose of this topic and feasibility analysis.The main body can be divided into three chapters.Chapter One mainly discusses the history of political corruption and the different forms of political corruption.Chapter Two emphases on Constitution of the United States and discusses its structural design as well as its regulation on the federal government.Chapter Three begins with important cases related to corruption to illustrate that Constitution of the United States alone is not enough,so it is also important to enact specialized laws to suppress corruption,which includes Pendleton Act after the civil service reform,Corrupt Practices Act and other laws relating to lection,Ethics in Government Act and the like.Chapter Four illustrates the current corruption situation in the federal government using the data reported by the Public Integrity Section in the United States Department of Justice and the Transparency International,which is a non-governmental international organization,and then analyses the function of each act in the legislative mechanism of anti-corruption in the United States.The Conclusion makes a short summary of the contents involved.
