A Study On Old-age Community Services Of The Empty Nester In City Based On A Survey In D District Of Nanchang

In the era of global aging,constant increase of old population result in the increase of empty nesters,of whom the support problems are more and more obvious.Compared to non-empty nesters and em pty nester in rural areas,urban em pty nesters possess unique features,which determines the distinctions of their elderly care problem.Based on that,the author get to know and investig ate the elderly care s ituations in their communities,with urban empty nesters as obse rvations.Therefore,this paper mainly focus on the situation of ur ban empty nesters and solutions to im prove community elderly care services for the urban empty nesters.With urban em pty nesters in Nanchang as observations,this paper analysis the community elderly service situation in f our perspectives of governm ent,community,society and organizations and family,via questionnaire survey for 103 senior citizens collecting their situations in financial status,medical insurance and mental comfort.It is found that problems of community elder care service for the urban empty nesters are: first,ineffective promotion from the government;second,lack of fund in community elderly care service,dif ficulty in f unctioning of public and pr ivate elderly service institutes;third,lack of professionalism in community elderly service team.The causes of these problems are incomplete law and regulations,slow development of community and social s ervice institutes and weak aw areness of elder people seek ing for society support.Improve community elder care service for the urban empty nesters to help a happy ending.In order to do that,governm ent must make policies for the comm unity elder service to function well;community should upgr ade infrastructure,make a professional team;children pay m ore attention to paren ts,continue to enha nce the comfort of kindness and promote active and healthy mental activity for the elder,so as to meet the emotion needs of the urban empty nesters.Social service institutes improve community elder care service through completing laws and regulations and volunteer resources.
