The Study On The Role Adjustment And Adaptation Of College Conscripts Process

With the reform of national recruitment system and the improvement of policy on recruiting highly educated on a large scale,more and more college students have shown great enthusiasm in entering the camp,especially in Peking region.This uprising group arouses the care of scholars,but their results of research mainly focus on critical thinking method.This thesis takes qualitative research.Based on the interviews about seven current university students,we are able to make a deep research on their role adjustment process from the campus to the camp.According to the basis of data analysis,the role adjustment process of the current university students are classified into four stages: preparation stage,comprehending stage,construction stage,and evaluation stage.The role participation degree is gradually increased at each stage.Firstly,indifferent participation--preparation stage--emphasizes on the subjective tendency and the objective condition about college students join the army.Secondly,ceremonial participation--comprehending stage--underlines that inspired by the traditional ritual such as the commission promote and the enrollment to the army,the process leads from denial to acceptance of the role adjustment;also,this is a phrase that we can gradually acquire the conception and deepen the comprehending of the role.Thirdly,biological participation--construction stage--highlights that through the adjustment during the interactive process,intra-role conflict and inter-role conflict can be dispelled,and the procedure of practice and creation of the role can also be completed.Fourthly,physical and mental participation--evaluation stage--points out that qualitative change in spiritual level consequently implements internalization of the role,and that a process which energetically construct the force in behavior in addition to expend own abilities.Further research shows that the path dependence of the original role will affect the success of role adjustment procedure,mainly displayed in managerial path dependence and cultural path dependence.
