The quality of kindergarten teachers determines the quality of preschool education. In order to enhance the quality of kindergarten teachers and promote the professional development of teachers further, national Ministry of Education has issued “kindergarten teachers' professional standards” in 2012. In this document, it clearly puts forward the basic concepts which are “teachers' ethic for the first”“based on children”“ability for heavy” and “lifelong learning” for the qualified kindergarten teachers. These concepts reflect the consciousness and behaviors of teacher which are weak and inadequate. And the concepts contain basic professional requirements which are kindergarten teachers should meet. At the same time, the basic concepts are in accordance with the development need of the time. The concepts which have the guiding function provide guiding significance to the practical work of kindergarten teachers. Through the practice of the basic concepts, kindergarten teachers march to the specialization better.190 kindergarten teachers are investigated by using questionnaire which is the main method in this study. The questionnaire is set up according to “kindergarten teachers' professional standards”. The results of the survey use Spss19.0 to analyze the present situation and the differences on the practice of teachers' basic concepts. Interviews and observation which are the complementary methods of the study are used to understand the practice of teachers' basic concepts further in the actual work.Results show that there is a certain gap between practice effect and ideal effect of the kindergarten teachers' basic concepts. And teachers' teaching age, title and the level of understanding about the basic concepts have an influence on the practice of kindergarten teachers' basic concepts which is found by analyzing the differences. According to analytical results, some suggestions are made to promote the practice of the kindergarten teachers' basic concepts, including making up for the lack of the practice of the specific concepts, improving the practical effect of the basic concepts in the actual work, promoting the practice of the newly-appointed teachers' basic concepts, perfecting and implementing teachers' evaluation of professional titles, and receiving the support of parents.
