With the development of oil field exploration and development in China, how to establish a higher resolution reservoir geological model to guide the development of the remaining oil, has become particularly issue. The key is how to make full use of the data of geological, well logging, and seismic data in the process of modeling.Seismic-driven modeling is a method to avoid variogram estimation. Using tranfer function through the existing seismic data and well data, the reservoir property can be estimated. It is more accurate than geostatistical methods particularly in large well spacing areas. Because of limited latered resolution of logs, its capability to characterize interwed property is poor. While seismic data has good lateral resolution, but limited resolution in vertical. It is difficult to charcterize the reservoir with strong heterogeneity. Seismic-driven geological modeling is to combine both log and seismic. This method calculates pseudo-log which can match both log and seismic data. The final model can be more acurate and reliable. This work focuses on study of different surrounding rock, like different thickness of interference sand body and mudstone interlayer, affects on modeling. The method of seismic attribute usage is modified to optimize the sand body super position recognization to improve the modeling precision.
