On the basis of technology research at home and abroad and systems analysis, this paper presents the technological transformation and optimization programs for a company, which is with natural gas as raw materials to produce ammonia, based on the existent questions and the out of date equipment. By operating this way, to achieve a new annual yield 150,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, the total capacity of the device annual output of 350,000 tons of scale and reduce energy consumption by 10-20% of the national system requirements. Follow-up to meet the needs of ammonium nitrate production plant and the production of organic chemicals and other projects, so that their production technology and scale to a new level.In this program, the principle is an organic fusion of old and new systems, scientific match, energy saving, tapping the potential and upgrading the technology. The content as follows:(1) Setting a new steam reformer of 150,000 tons of pure oxygen heat exchange, with multi-center section of the furnace tube, two stage furnace with metal nozzle. (2) Building a de-carbon unit of 200,000 tons, using lower energy consumption, process stability of the twin towers transformer regenerative Benfild de-carbon unit, and using rich was driving a turbine using semi-lean liquid energy recovery, depleted liquid flash, then angry washing and other energy-saving new technology. (3) Building a medium pressure ammonia synthesis unit of 200,000 tons with 14MPa, and three-path a shaft and other domestic use ammonia synthesis technology successfully (4) Building a soft-start motor driven mixers and circulation integral turbine compressor (5) Transform and refined using the string variable low variant with methanization, relying on the original plant transformation systems.After the program, the solid results reflected in:(1) Relying on the existing production equipment in order to implement public works and ancillary facilities, so no need to achieve the purpose of levy of land, save construction investment. (2) After process optimization and promotion, by the ammonia consumption of 41.507 GJ/t of ammonia is approaching 35.789 GJ/t of ammonia, gas consumption saving 74 Nm3/tNH3, and saving energy-saving consumption 150 kW/tNH3. Compared with the transformation of the former process, only natural gas and electricity to save energy 4.387GJ(1.048Gcal), reduced its total energy consumption rate reached 20%. It has reached the level of medium-sized ammonia level device.(3) Increase output 150,000 tons/year of synthetic ammonia, annual profit may reach RMB 65.77 million, RMB 49.32 million after-tax profits.
