The Effect Of Tongxie Yaofang On The Content Of VIP And TGF-β In UC Model Rats With Liver Stagnation And Spleen Deficiency

Objective: To explore the efficacy of Tongxie Yaofang to model of Ganyupixu UC rat by detecting the content changes of VIP and TGF-β in serum and colon tissue.Methods: Establish the rat model of Ganyupixu UC by using TNBS/ethanol enema +binding + diet disloyal method.After the modeling, select 50 rats from the modeling group and control group 10 to divided into blank group, model group, SASP group, Tongxieyaofang low, medium and high dose groups, 10 rats in each group. Each group began gavage on the second day after modeling, 1 times per day, orally for 3 weeks.To observe the general condition of rats, and the histological changes of the colon, and determine the content of VIP and TGF-β in serum and colon of rats by ELISA.Results: Compared with the blank group, the general condition of model group was poor,the content of VIP of model group in serum and colon tissue of rats were increased(P <0.01)and TGF-βdecreased(P <0.01); compared with the model group, the general situation of the rats in each treatment group was significantly improved,content of VIP in serum and colon tissue were decreased(P <0.01) and TGF-β increased(P <0.01) in each treatment group; compared among the treatment groups, Tongxie Yaofang medium group and SASP group dose quite effective, Tongxie Yaofang high group dose the most significant change.Conclusion: Tongxie Yaofang have a better therapeutic effect on rat model of ulcerative colitis, its mechanism may by reduce the VIP and raise TGF-β,then reduce the inflam- matory response, promote mucosal recovery.
