Chronic and intractable cough, which is heaver at night or early morning, is the main clinical manifestations. It has a longer duration up to several months or even years, seriously affecting the patient’s quality of life. In recent years, the incidence of CVA is upward trend. Like asthma, it gradually becomes the research focus of the global medical community. Because of its symptoms, signs are not typical, clinical misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis rate leads to delaying in the timing of treatment. Some patients develop typical asthma. In addition, chronic frequent violent coughing can lead to multi-system complications which seriously affecting the work, study and life of the patient’s. Western medicine to treat the disease can be temporarily controlled, but once stop taking their medication, it can relapse easily. And long-term treatment is easy to produce some adverse reactions which resulting in poor patient compliance. Therefore, this topic intended to seek Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of this disease, improve the treatment level of CVA and play to the advantages of Chinese medicine treatment. Methods:Collection of 84 cases of CVA patients who are satisfied the inclusion criteria. Random number table, divided into observation group and the comparison group. Observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine decoction according to symptoms, signs, tongue and pulse while the control group was treated with montelukast Turner tables (lOmg, Qn). Two groups were compared before and after treatment of TCM symptom score, cough points, Lasse Manchester cough quality of life questionnaire integral evaluation, and the detection of treatment in both groups before and after methacholine airway challenge test about Dmin, SGrs SGrs/Grs cont and blood addictedacid change in granulocyte count. Results were analyzed statistically.Result:After treatment, observation group is significantly better than the control group in TCM symptom score and cough symptom score. Two groups had significant differences (P<0.05). Airway challenge test indicators (Dmin, SGrs and SGrs/Grs cont) and blood eosinophil counts (Eos) before and after treatment, no significant difference (P> 0.05); Between the two groups after treatment, no significant differences (P> 0.05).It prompted Chinese medicine observation group and control group were not lower in patients with airway hyperresponsiveness state. The observation group and control group before and after treatment were different after treatment (P<0.05) at Quality of life evaluation, but there is no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05).It shows that Cough Powder Fang and montelukast Turner tables can improve patients’ quality of life, but showed no difference betweenConclusion:Cough Powder party can improve the symptoms of cough and patients’ quality of life, but failed to reduce airway hyperresponsiveness. |
