Therapeutic Effect Of Knee Pain Cream Combined With Orthopedic Medicine On Middle-aged And Elderly Knee Osteoarthritis (qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis)

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect between using of Xitong Gaofang along with Guke Xiyao and using Xitong Gaofang only in treating middle-aged and elderly knee osteoarthritis(qi stagnation and biood stasis),and to analyze the results.METHODS:Sixty patients with knee osteoarthritis(qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome)that met the inclusion criteria were divided into experimental group and control group randomly.During the experiment,two patients withdrew.Finally,there were 58 patients(29 patients in the experimental group and 29 patients in the control group)finishing the experiment.Comparison of age,gender,disease duration and diseased region,the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05),comparable.Experimental methods:Experimental group:Treatment of the experimental group was treated with Xitong Gaofang,the specific prescriptions as follows:Cyathula 15g,Angelica 12g,Guizhi 9g,White peony toot 15g,licorice 9g,Salvia 15g,Millettia 15g,lycopodii 15g,scorpion 6g,Epimedium 15g,monkshood 6g(fry),Chuanxiong 6g,Papaya 15g,Poria 15g,tangerine peel 9g,Amomum 6g,castor seed cotton 20g,Alisma 9g,Plantago 10g(including fry)wind 10g.Medication methods:Take the medicine with warm water 3 times daily after meals in half one hour.Guke Xiyao:Rhubarb 10g,Speranskia 15g,Clematis 15g,Guizhi 15g,Lulutong 15g,Saffron 10g,Chuanwu 10g,Caowu 10g,Chuanjiao 6g,Millettia 15g,Sangzhi 15g,lycopodii 15g.Washing method:Adding water 1000mL,and heating them for 30 minutes with slow fire.Soaking and washing the sick knee for 15-20 minutes once a day.The temperature of water should be controlled at 40-45℃.Control group:Treat the patients with Xitong Gaofang only.The treatment lasted for 28 Days.OUTCOME MEASURES:Contrasting the VAS pain scores,knee WOMAC scores,TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment,and the total efficiency.Comparing the data and statistical analysis.RESULTS:The results of VAS pain score analysis showed that the scores of the two groups after the experiment were significantly lower than before,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the score of experimental group was significantly lower than the control group after the experiment,the difference was statistics Significance(P<0.05).In terms of WOMAC scores,The scores within the two groups after the experiment were lower than before(P<0.05).After the experiment,the score of experimental group was lower than control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).In TCM syndrome scores,the scores of two groups after the experiment were lower than before the experiment,the difference was statistics Significance(P<0.05),and the scores of two groups after the comparison experiment were significantly different(P<0.05).Patients in the experimental group got lower scores than those in the control group.Efficacy comparison:Based on WOMAC score evaluation?2 cases were clinically controlled in the experimental group,3 cases were markedly effective,23 cases were effective,1 case was ineffective,and the total effective rate was 96.6%.In the control group,0 cases were clinically controlled,2 cases were markedly effective,and 19 cases were effective.,Invalid in 8 cases,the total effective rate was 72.4%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to TCM symptom score evaluation,2 cases were clinically controlled in the experimental group,9 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were effective,0 cases were ineffective,and the total effective rate was 100%.In the control group,0 cases were clinically controlled,1 case was markedly effective,21 cases were effective,and 7 were ineffective.The total effective rate is 75.9%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Both of the two methods have good clinical efficacy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,but using Xitong Gaofang combined with Guke Xiyao is more effective than using Xitong Gaofang alone,especially in the relief of knee pain and the overall improvement of knee osteoarthritis,and the safety of the two drugs is good,this kind of treatment is worthy of spreading in treating knee osteoarthritis.
