Professor Wang Yaoxian's Experience In Treating Chronic Renal Failure

BackgroundChronic Renal Failure(CRF)refers to all kinds of kidney disease in the late,due to the progressive damage of Renal parenchyma,nephron gradually reduced.Kidney can’t fully eliminate waste products and maintain a stable internal environment.It can lead to the accumulation of metabolites in the body,electrolyte and acid-base balance disorders and clinical syndrome of kidney endocrine dysfunction.It is the result of all the Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD),and end at end-stage renal Disease(ESRD)and renal replacement therapy.The disease has poor prognosis,high case fatality rate,and for a terminal patient it can only rely on dialysis.At present,there are a litte effective treatments in western medicine.And the Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of the CRF may play an important role.The Chinese medicine dialectical treatment not only can improve clinical symptoms,but also can lower serum creatinine.It can prevent the development of the patients.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the treatment of CRF from TCM.Professor Wang Yaoxian researches in kidney disease for many years,and is good at combining TCM and western medicine methods to all kinds of kidney disease,especially in the treatment of the chronic renal failure.Its inherited professor Lv Renhe’s "the abdominal mass of kidney collateral" theory.The theory are that the process of renal fibrosis is kidney collateral abdominal mass syndrome.Dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral is the way to treat chronic renal failure.And it can have good curative effect.ObjectiveAnalyzing the medication experience of Professor Wang Yaoxian on treating CRF to maKe a summary of frequency of usage,regularity in drug combinationand principles of formulating prescription.Providing effective treatment to CRF and reducing the pain of the patients.MethodsCollect the medical records used for 209 patients with CRF,and establish a database with TCM inheritance system(V2.5).By using the function of Data analyzing,we can analyze the composing principles of prescriptions.Results209 prescriptions were filtered and analyzed for define the frequency of useage,regularity in drug combination and principles of formulating.we got 30 core groups and 5 new prescriptions,and these were conformed as the core herbs for treating CRF by Professor Wang Yaoxian.ConclusionProfessor Wang Yaoxian’s prescriptions has outstanding characteristics in treating CRF.The consequences were obtained by the TCM inheritance system and the professor’s experience is general accordant.The system can be used to analyze and summarize the experiences of traditional Chinese physician.
