In recent years, a large number of the post-90s freshmen have entered colleges and universities, and become a major force in them. According to the surveys on college students' psychological problems, more and more college students have interpersonal problems, which affect their normal studies and life, and the social anxiety is one of the problems.This paper systematically introduces the characteristics of the post-90s college students, and the current situation of contemporary college students' interpersonal relationships, and also the domestic and foreign studies of social anxiety. In this study, many methods are used, such as literature searching, observation, interviewing and questionnaire method, to explore the effects of the self-acceptance group counseling to social anxiety.This is a study on the intervention of the self-acceptance group counseling, which is designed according to the post-90s freshmen, to alleviate the social anxiety among some of the post-90s freshmen in Nanjing Institute of Technology.This study enrolled 16 freshmen as participants,8 for experimental,8 for control. The members of the experimental group were engaged in a four-week long group with 8 times treatments while the control members were left untreated.The study's result shows that:after the intervention, the experiment group improved significantly in the scores on the IAS and the Self-acceptance Questionnaire, especially in the factors including the self-acceptance of one's interpersonal, overall, competence and mood. While the control group members showed no significant changes in the IAS.According to the result, we can conclude that the self-acceptance group counseling has an effect on the social anxiety of the post-90s freshmen. It can raise the level of the self-acceptance, alleviate the social anxiety, improve their self-confidence, increase positive moods and improve the behavior of the social interaction. Therefore, the group counseling based on enhancing self-acceptance is scientific, feasible and effective.
