"Northern History" May Be A Kind Of Auxiliary Verb Study

The auxiliary verb is one kind of special word class,whose grammatical phenomenon is unique,so it has important research value in Chinese.The thesis makes a systematic study on the possible auxiliary verb in "Bei Shi" by using exhaustive investigation,comparative induction and descriptive analysis methods on the basis of predecessors' researches.In order to show the possible auxiliary verb comprehensively,on one hand,the thesis does research in grammar and semantics from the synchronic perspective,on the other hand,comparing lexical meaning of ancient,medieval and modern Chinese from the diachronic perspective,so that explore the origin as well as the discipline and motivation in the evolution of Chinese language of some typical possible auxiliary verbs in “Bei Shi”.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the thesis mainly divides into three major chapters:The first chapter of the thesis describes current research situation of the possible auxiliary verb.The auxiliary verb is systematically sorted and summarized by my own view and basis mainly from four aspects in this part,such as name,definition and part of speech,identification criteria and scope.The second chapter analyzes the possible auxiliary verbs in “Bei Shi” one by one.All verbs are divided into monosyllabic and two-syllable auxiliary verbs,the latter also includes the commonly used and the other used in conjunction.This chapter focuses on the grammatical and semantic features of each auxiliary verb,then it summarizes the complete system by examining the use situation as a whole of the possible auxiliary verbs.The third chapter compares the possible auxiliary verb in “Bei Shi” and modern Chinese.The possible auxiliary verb in modern Chinese inherits some meaning and usage from it in “Bei Shi”,at the same time,the latter also have new development and application in former.Through this diachronic comparison and analysis,it not only the shows specific trajectory of the possible auxiliary verbs' development and evolution,but also reveals the law and motivation of its changes.
