George Gershiwin was one of the most representative composers,national musician in the United States,his greatest contribution was he made the perfect combination of jazz,popular pop music,and European traditional serious music that come from American Folk.His works had promoted the development of American folk music and even global music in the 20 th Century,and had made jazz get on the stage of Art,he made an indelible contribution to the diversity of human music.His life was short,but he left us a lot of precious music compositions,“The Three Preludes ”was one of them.It entered people's hearing world with relaxed and facetious “Jazz wind”.This paper makes a rational analysis of music from the aspects of the characteristics,structure and theme of music,through the elaboration of American music and jazz music.This article makes a detailed analysis of music styles and performance skills in Gershwin's “ Three Piano Preludes”,The most significant feature among them is reflected in the clever use of Bruce,Ragtime and Early jazz factors.In this paper,the discussion of playing skills is summed up through the author ' s long-term practice,and it involves playing methods of a variety of special sound effects.The author hopes that it can deepen the understanding and love of piano learners to Gershwin through the discussion of this article.
