The Research And Form Design Of Space Teeadmill

This paper was mainly a study of space treadmill appearance used for fitness of space station astronauts,Aimed at obtaining ergonomics fixed size,aesthetic modeling,color matching in line with special usage scenarios of space station.First,conducted a preliminary ergonomics dimensions design for running belt length,running belt width,edge strip width,armrest height,armrest width referring to the treadmill on the ground.And then combined with special mechanical structure,installation,use of space,astronauts use and physiological specificity of space treadmill,had a further amendments of the man-machine size.Got preliminary ergonomic fixed size of each part.Second,combined with the existing mechanical principles model and the preliminary ergonomics fixed size,we carried out three-dimensional digital modeling of space treadmill.Then improved the model against the factors of volume model oversized,complicated connection structure,unnatural transitionmodeling.And through several rounds of discussions with the mechanical engineer and improvement we determine the shape of the program with circular as aesthetic elements,exactly ergonomic fixed size adapted to the space station and astronaut.Thirdly,through the investigation and record of astronauts experience while using the prototype,we got that foot cut security risks existed on the end of the walking belt,cylindrical texture on the walking belt was easily wear and tear,Astronauts did not like long-term stimulation of fierce colors.Combined the information,we increased protective housing on the head and end of the walking belt,the surface texture was designed as taotie,the main color was simplified as gray with lake blue accents.After several adjustment of man-machine fixed size,beautified aesthetic styling transition,united styling details,we got space treadmill modeling program in line with the exercise requirements of the space station.The program clearly put out the man-machine fixed size of running belt length,running belt width,edge strip width,armrest height,armrest width;Determined the aesthetic design program based on the round;Derived a color scheme of mainly gray dotted with blue that brings calm and comfortable to astronauts.
