With the advantages of fast scanning,high precision and other unique advantages,the 3D laser scanner can measure the coordinate data of the target and the effective information of the surface,and has the trend to replace the traditional measurement.It also has a same problem like other instruments,then whether the accuracy of instrument is up to standard.Therefore,it is very important to analyze the source of error and calibrate accuracy of the instrument.The accuracy of the radial range to the instrument is obtained by comparing the distance between the targets that measures by the dual-frequency laser interferometer and the distance that measures by the scanner.Establish a comprehensive indoor calibration field and use the selected instrument to take a one-time scanning to the ball target.The spatial ranging accuracy,angular accuracy and point accuracy of 3D laser scanner are evaluated by the original data and the one-way calibration test is reduced.The accuracy evaluation results obtained from the large number of datas show that the Focus 3D laser scanner has the accuracy of 10-30 m ranging accuracy and the accuracy of the point bit within 2mm,and it begins to exceed the nominal precision beyond the 50m;the accuracy of angle measurement in 10~30m is within 10" and it begins to exceed the nominal precision beyond the 50 m.Then the verification report is made.At the 30 m is the location for the best quality point cloud data.The conclusion: is that this paper verifies the accuracy and feasibility of the calibration method,and develops a set of 3D laser scanner calibration specification,and finally automatically generates test reports by programming.
