Research On Map Symbol Sharing Method Driven By Ontology

Map symbol is an important form and means of spatial information expression,and is an abstract representation of the object,attribute or process of matter.As an important part of spatial information sharing,map symbols are important research contents of spatial data sharing and interoperability.Different GIS platforms usually use the built-in symbol library system to symbolize the geographic elements,so that they all have their own map symbol data models,which leads to the barrier of symbol data sharing,and can't realize the "one library multi-use" of the map symbol library.Aiming at the incompatibility between map symbol model and heterogeneous map symbol resources,and the difficulty of integration and interoperability of multi-source heterogeneous map symbols,a new method and technical means are found.The concept of ontology and network service is introduced.The concept of ontology is used to construct the symbolic ontology model,which solves the problem of "homologous" symbol semantic information inconsistency.The introduction of Web Service technology to construct a symbol sharing framework to realize cross-platform interoperability of symbols.Combining ontology and network services to construct a network map service can realize the acquisition and expression of map symbol data at the semantic level,make the interoperability of map symbols more uniform and convenient,and realize the cross-platform and cross-system map symbol sharing in the network environment.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the existing map symbol model,the conceptual ontology model of map symbol is established,and the structure of the ontology model of map symbol is analyzed and designed.A generic map symbol library was then created to provide data support for map symbol sharing.(2)Web Services,as an important technical means to realize heterogeneous data sharing,provide a new method for symbol sharing.In the framework of Web Service Architecture,this paper puts forward the framework of Map Symbol Service,designs the overall framework of Map Symbol Sharing Framework,and introduces the interactive operation process of three elements in the framework: symbol requester,symbol provider and symbol registry.(3)A map symbol sharing framework based on Web Services is constructed,and a map symbol sharing prototype system is developed.Through the symbol sharing prototype system,the symbolicization function and symbol data access and call in the network environment can be realized,and the feasibility and effectiveness of the symbol sharing framework are verified.
