At present,with the introduction of the national central city concept and the adjustment of strategic structure of the national economic development,Xi'an,an ancient city,has gradually become the central and focus of the urban cities in northwest China.Under the solid implementation of the state's support as well as local government policies,the ancient city of Xi'an is experiencing the fastest urban construction,economic development and social changes.Urban geographic information resources and technologies are featured with digitalization,three-dimensional,refinement as well as intelligence.Large-scale urban planning and construction thoroughly rely on them too.The refined three-dimensional urban basic geographic information and its application are regarded as the vital technique.It is necessary to accelerate the construction and research of 3D geographic information platform in Xi'an via promoting the construction of refined spatial data of 3D in Xi'an,boosting the application of 3D geographic information in urban management,and improving the social service capabilities based on 3D spatial geographic information.With the support of engineering construction and related topics,a research in this paper thus has been carried out on the construction and application of 3D geographic information platform for urban refined management,including:(1)Methods on refined production of 3D city model in Xi'an: In this section,three methods are being studied.Classifying method of Three-Dimensional urban refined model in Xi'an,data acquisition method and the design of modeling specification.The research results in criterion on the production of three-dimensional architectural model in Xi'an,and unification of the technical requirements for 3D model making,which provides reference and guidance for the construction specification and technical route of Xi'an three-dimensional city model data.(2)Systematic Design on Xi'an 3D Urban Geographic Information: Based on the refined 3D data model production method,an overall illustration will be submitted on 3D Urban Geographic systematic design and construction method,which is based on the following four aspects: the overall system framework,3D database design,3D systematic design(including software structure design,systematic function design),software and hardware environment design.It is this refined 3D data model that meets the demand of urban planning and construction from 3D visual display,3D building information query,and 3D Scene spatial analysis.(3)Refined demonstration application of 3D city for Xi'an: As a brand-new basic Geo-spatial infrastructure and carrier,because this kind of city is indeed featured in special plans and maintenance information of the whole city.It will be illustrated and validated in this part how 3D city data and 3D urban geographic information apply to refined urban construction and management for Xi'an,which focus on urban planning,community management,urban propaganda and tourism management.
