Regional stability refers to the stability of the earth's crust and its surface layer under the effects of internal and external factors in the engineering construction area and the degree of influence on the safety of engineering buildings.Regional stability engineering geology research has developed with our country's large-scale economic construction, especially the construction of major projects. It is a characteristic study of engineering geology in our country. In recent years, with the gradual expansion of the scale of cities, the Regional stability research has also received more and more attention. In terms of geological structure,Panjin City belongs to the Lower Liaohe-Liaodong Bay area, which is a Mesozoic and Cenozoic faulted area with many faults distributed in the area.Panjin City is located in the Lower Liaohe Plain. There are huge and thick Quaternary loose deposits on the surface. The problems of sand liquefaction and soft soil subsidence are very prominent. In order to clarify the future development direction of Panjin City, the regional stability evaluation is Very necessary. This paper collects and sorts out the engineering geological environment data of Panjin area and evaluates the regional stability of Panjin city area based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The main tasks are as follows:1.Through the collection and research of relevant data in Panjin area,a detailed study of regional tectonic and seismic effects was carried out, especially the modern tectonic stress field theory and shear superimposed fracture angle theory were explained, and the cause of the seismic activity zone was explained. The background analysis of the regional stability of Panjin urban area is carried out,and the stability of the crust, the stability of the ground and the stability of the soil are respectively described, which provides a basis for the fuzzy evaluation.2.On this basis,a combination of fuzzy mathematics and analytic hierarchy process is used to evaluate regional stability.Fuzzy mathematics determines the grading standard of each factor, and analytic hierarchy process determines the weight of each factor and then conducts comprehensive evaluation.A two-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is established. The first-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of single factor is carried out first, and then the second fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is carried out according to the evaluation results.According to the results of the secondary fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the regional stability of the study area, the zoning boundary of the regional stability of Panjin urban area is divided. The study area is divided into three areas: suitable for development and construction, suitable for conditions and requirements, and unsuitable for development and construction.3.Comparing the evaluation results,it is pointed out that in the evaluation of urban regional stability in this area, ground stability plays a major role, while sand liquefaction plays a major role in ground stability.According to the results of this evaluation, the stability of foundations in the southern part of the study area is generally better than that in the northern part, except for a few locations. Therefore, when Panjin City formulates future urban development plans,it should focus on the development and construction of the southern part of the study area.
