With the continuous development of modern iron and steel enterprises,amount of iron ore resources reduces gradually.It makes the species and proportion of iron ore be changed all the time in the domestic sintering plants.It's significant to obtain a better scheme of ore-blending to make the quality of sinters become much better and the cost become much lower when kinds of iron-containing materials are usded.Therefore,to reduce the cost of ore-blending has become the current mainscream of iron and steel enterprises' development.Benefit of those enterprises will be improved obviously with scientific and resonable distribution of sinter ore.Metallurgical properties of iron-bearing materials were obtained by experiments in this issue.What's more,the low-cost ironmaking raw material model was bulit based on the properties,to realise the goal of effective combination of sinter ore-blending and the blast furnace burden,of the current iron ore resources' resonable distribution,and providing theoretical foundation for ironmaking operation staff.Meanwhile,the model can minimize the procurement cost of ironmaking raw materials by optimizing the scheme of ore-blending.The following conclusions were obtained in this study:(1)Experimental results of iron ore powder sintering basic properties showed:assimilation temperature of iron ore from Caracas was the lowest,about 1203 ?.Only considering of assimilation,this kind of ore should be matched with magnesium-bearing concentrate from Russia(1330?)or concentrate from Canada(1329?),which were with high assimilation temperature.From the liquidity perspective,powder from Africa and Australia were the best,the values of which were 10.18 and 10.31,respectively,and they could be used to combine with the magnesium-bearing concentrate from Russia,the flowability index of which was 0.(2)Database of iron ore resources at home and abroad was built,including 55 kinds of Australian ores,54 kinds of American ores,4 kinds of European ores,11 kinds of Asian ores,18 kinds of African ores and 79 kinds of domestic ores.221 kinds of ores in total,provided database resources for the building of low-cost ore-blending model.Classifying source,grade,size composition and sintering basic characteristics of ore,It's helpful for iron and steel enterprises to acquire the metallurgical properties of ore resources at home and abroad.(3)Java language was used to build the low cost sintering ore-blending model by RCP Platform.The objective function of this model is the lowest cost.Restrictive conditions included three kinds:a)chemical component,b)size composition,c)sintering basic properties.Multiple sets of ore-blending programs according to the constraints could be calculated by the model.And based on the actual situation,manufacturers could choose the appropriate program with the cost sorting from low to high,(4)Based on iron resources of a domestic iron and steel company,optimized program of iron ore-blending was calculated by the model.Futher proven experiments showed,compared to the baseline results,the chemical component and size distribution of iron ore mixture kept invariant in experimental stage.However,the sintering basic properties were improved obvirously.With the assimilation temperature keeping constant,the value of liquid mobility increased from 7.29 to 8.61,and that of binder phase intensity increased from 1.43 kN to 2.64 kN,while the cost of blending ore was reduced from the baseline of 503.16 yuan to 497.20 yuan.It means that this subject has achieved the desired effect,making the cost of blending ore be lower on the basis of keeping the metallurgical properties be the same.Above all,sintering basic properties of iron ore were tested,database of iron ore resources was built and model of low cost sintering ore-blending was exploited in this paper.The research results have significant practical value for optimizing the ore-blending programs in iron and steel enterprises and reducing the ironmaking cost.
