An Empirical Study On Carbon Emission Estimation And Carbon Compensation In Rural Tourism Development

Since ancient times,the issue of global climate change has attracted more and more and more attention,of which global warming stands out as the most prominent one.The emission of greenhouse gas comes as the fundamental reason contributing to the global warming,and expecifically,the carbon dioxide emission that has increased year by year plays most significant role.The development of human society is the main cause of carbon dioxide production.Economic development and population growth make the use of fossil fuels expanding continuously,which is an important factor leading to the increase of carbon dioxide emissions.At the same time,people’s consumption concept is constantly changing.People are no longer tired of work all the time,and traveling has become an important part of people’s life.While tourism development has brought economic benefits,it also increases carbon dioxide emissions,and the problem of carbon emission in tourism has gradually become one of the hot spots of attention.With the emergence of low carbon economy,"low-carbon tourism"has emerged as the times require.Relative to other industries,developing low carbon Tourism to reduce carbon emissions is more significant,which is of great significance to the development of low carbon economy.In recent years,tourists have more choices in the selection of tourist destinations,and rural tourism is one of them.Songkou Town of Yongtai is actively adapting to the new normal economic development,setting up a unique brand of rural tourism,attracting tourists from all over the country to come to sightseeing.While the rapid development of rural tourism,it also increases the total amount of carbon emissions in Songkou Town,and the sustainable development of rural tourism in Songkou Town has emerged as a result.It is one of the key concerns of the town government.Taking the rural tourism in Songkou Town of Yongtai as an example,this paper analyzes the actual situation in the process of rural tourism development in Songkou Town,and draws on the relevant theories and methods of previous carbon emission estimation to determine the carbon source of rural tourism tourism,carbon source of agricultural activities,carbon emission list of rural living carbon source and the calculation method of carbon emission.On the basis of the official statistical yearbook,field survey and interview data,the carbon emission of rural tourism in Songkou Town is estimated,and the results are analyzed deeply.It is concluded that the carbon emission of tourism traffic is the largest in the process of rural tourism development,followed by residents’ living carbon emissions,which is mainly reflected in the ride.The average travel distance of the aircraft is long and the unit carbon emissions are high.The rural residents lack the awareness of energy saving,emission reduction and low carbon life,which leads to the increase of carbon emissions in life.Finally,from the angle of compensation subject,compensation standard,compensation mode,process management,carbon price formulation and so on,the rural tourism carbon compensation mechanism is further perfected,and the corresponding measures for the smooth implementation of carbon compensation mechanism are put forward from the five angles of planning,management,technology,market and propaganda and education.On this basis,it combines Songkou Township.The carbon emission of village tourism,put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,in order to promote the healthy and sustainable development of rural tourism in Songkou Town,and to provide reference for the sustainable development of rural tourism in Fujian province.
