With the continuous enhancement of risk management awareness in the field of international engineering business and the rapid development of offshore engineering projects,the management of all kinds of projects has become increasingly mature and gradually completed.The management of marine international engineering projects has also drawn extensive attention.Therefore,as an important part of international engineering project,each company pays close attention to the risk management.The level of risk management is an important indicator to measure the level of international project management.It is the key point to determine the success of international projects.International construction projects have long construction period,high cost,complicated contents and various risks and there are full of challenges for contractors of international engineering projects in China.Therefore,how to deal with the risks of international engineering projects effectively has become a major issue that China’s international engineering projects contracting enterprises are facing.In this paper,a large-scale marine international engineering project management is taken as the research object.Aiming at the risk in the design stage of the project,the paper analyzes and studies.Based on the research background of risk management and the status quo of risk management of international engineering projects,this paper firstly introduces the characteristics of international engineering projects and the characteristics and risk categories of risk management of international engineering projects,and then introduces several commonly used risk identification and risk management methods.Secondly,take X Company’s C project as the research object,first of all,understand the overall framework of the project’s risk management,and then conduct a risk management research based on the project design stage.Based on the characteristics of the project in design stage and the types of risks,brainstorming and expert investigation were used to identify the risks and came up with the risks of pipelines against external pressure,the risk of pipeline elasticity,the risk of pipe bending,the risk of contact between sealing layer and wear resistance,connector selection risk,improper flange selection risk,pressure risk between layers,material selection risk.Then,a systematic and comprehensive assessment was made on the identified risk points using the Potential Failure Mode Analysis(DFMEA),and two high-risk were obtained:risk of pipeline elasticity and risk of pipeline external pressure;four medium risks,they are material selecting risk,seal course and abrasion resistance touch risk,risk of pipe bending,improper choice of flange;two low risk:risk of interlayer pressure,risk of inappropriate choice of crimp.According to the results of the risk assessment,the strategies of risk control,risk commitment,risk transfer and risk avoidance are selected for high risk.The risk control,risk commitment and risk transfer are adopted for medium risk.For low risk,the control strategies adopted are attention,regular assessment.In response to the proposed high-risk,pipeline resilience risk adopted by the program for the preparation of fiber mesh cover program,pipeline anti-external pressure risk response programs for the use of double buckle connector.Finally,the effectiveness of the project’s risk management results were evaluated.This paper attempts to take X company C project risk management as an example,summarizes the experience and lessons,provides the risk management theory,plan and countermeasure for international project risk managers.Based on the risk analysis of the large-scale marine international projects,this paper provides decision-makers with the basis of risk management.It is hoped that through the experience and lessons of this project,meaningful help of the international project in China will be provided.
