The last century,the production of refined terephthalic acid(PTA)was mainly concentrated in developed countries and areas rich in oil reserves.At the beginning of the 21st century,the center of PTA production turned to Asia,then gradually turned to China.PTA production process requires the product hydrotreating,therefore,the PTA hydrogenation reactor is the core equipment for the hydrogenation unit in the PTA device.In the PTA industry,to date,PTA hydrogenation reactors have been forged PTA hydrogenation reactors and no precedent has been used for plate-weld hydrogenation reactors.Therefore,this paper studies the feasibility of using plate welding to manufacture PTA hydrogenation reactor.In this study,according to the process parameters and design requirements of the hydrogenation reactor,the thickness of the cylinder and the head was calculated by using the stress analysis method,and the strength of the stress concentration site of the hydrogenation reactor was checked by ANSYS.Through comparative analysis,plate welding production cycle is better than forging welding,the production cost is lower than forging welding.The welding specimen of the plate has basically the same performance with the forging material in terms of chemical composition,metallographic structure and physical properties(tensile,bending,low temperature impact,hardness)and the like,and the plate can replace the forging in material selection.In this paper,the plate welding PTA hydrogenation reactor in the specific implementation of the production process of the technical parameters and quality assurance measures required,the material admission,welding,coil,corrected roundness,group pairs,heat treatment,non-destructive testing and other links The manufacturing process parameters and quality assurance measures have been standardized.Taking the existing hydrogenation reactor designed by China Textile Industry Design Institute as a comparative object,the economic benefit and time benefit of plate welding PTA hydrogenation reactor and forging welding PTA hydrogenation reactor are analyzed,and the feasibility of replacing welding by plate welding is finally feasibility.
