Chiral Mesoporous Materials And Crown Ether Used As Stationary Phases In High Performance Liquid Chromatography

The main contents are summarized as follows:Chirality,optical resolution and chiral stationary phases of high performance liquid chromatographic?HPLC?were introduced.Preparations,forming mechanisms and chromatographic applications of the mesoporous materials were presented.A highly ordered chiral mesoporous silica?CMS?was synthesized by using silane as precursor,quaternized aminosilane as structure-directing agent and chiral anionic surfactant as template.The synthesized CMS was served as stationary phase to prerpare chromatographic column for HPLC chiral separations.In addition,the effect of mobile phase composition on enantioselective separations was investigated.The separations of some different chiral compounds containing alcohols,ketones,amines,aldehydes,organic acids,etc.were achieved on the CMS packed column.This work indicated that the use of CMS for HPLC enantioseparations is practicable.The chiral SBA-15 was synthesized by using O,O'-dibenzoyl-L-tartaric acid as chiral selector attached to the amino modified SBA-15 surface and was used as the stationary phase in HPLC.Nine chiral compounds and one positional isomer could be separated on this column.Biomimetic chiral nematic mesoporous silica was prepared and was used as stationary phase on which ten racemates could be partially resolved.The chiral crown ether R-?3,3'-dibromo-1,1'-binaphthyl?-20-crown-6 was synthesized and coated on the surface of C₁₈8 silica gel for conducting the chromatographic separation under the mode of whole water liquid chromatography.Three pair enantiomers were resolved.
