Belt conveyor is one of the main transportation equipment in coal mine.The automation level of belt conveyor determines the efficiency of coal transportation.In recent years,mine belt conveyor is developing towards large capacity,long distance and high power.Change range of belt conveyer load increases,as well as the tensioning force and tensioning stroke increases.Belt conveyor puts forward higher requirements for the automation level of the tensioning device.An adaptive tensioning system is proposed in this paper.Under the premise of meeting a large range of tension and tensioning stroke,the tension force is adjused adaptively.Based on load prediction,the tension requirement of belt conveyor is analyzed in this paper.The adaptive adjustment strategy of tensioning force is developed to realize the automatic control of belt conveyor tension.The main work and research results of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the study of the basic structure and working principle of the belt conveyor,the functional requirements of the adaptive tension system are determined.The composition and tension control method of tension system are analyzed.The overall architecture and control flow of adaptive tensioning system are designed.(2)Based on the tension analysis of belt conveyor,a correlation model between load and tension is established.The relationship between load and current of drive motor for belt conveyor is explored.Fruit fly optimization algorithm is utilized to optimize the parameters of Back Propagation(BP)neural network.Based on the improved BP neural network,a load forecasting model is established to provide a basis for formulating an adaptive control strategy of tension force for belt conveyor.(3)The tension requirement of belt conveyor under different conditions is analyzed,and a tension control system based on PID controller is put forward.The selection factor and crossover probability of genetic algorithm are introduced to expand the population diversity of particles.Proportion Integration Differentiation(PID)parameters are adjusted by integrating genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm.The control accuracy and response characteristics of PID controller are improved.Based on the tension demand and PID control model,an adaptive tension control strategy is developed in this paper.In this paper,adaptive tension control experiment is carried out on the belt conveyor of the 1115 fully mechanized caving face in the Long Wang Zhuang coal mine.The experimental results show: based on the proposed method,the load current of the belt conveyor is predicted effectively;the response characteristics of the tension control system are improved;the tensioning system can realize adaptive adjustment of tension force based on load change,and provide reasonable tension for belt conveyor.The intelligence level of belt conveyor is improved.This research has great significance for improving the efficiency of coal transportation and realizing the production of "no human" or "less human".
