Research On The Construction Of Ecological City Of Xiangyang

President Xi has repeatedly stressed the importance of ecological construction on various occasions and pointed out that “Green mountains are golden mountains.” The 21 st century is the century focused on ecology which is important for people.In a sense,the international competition this century is actually a competition in the aspect of ecological environment.Building an ecological civilization is a major factor concerning the well-being of the people and the future of the nation.The importance of ecological environment construction is still true for the entire international community.The importance for cities is even more self-evident.Only a city with a good ecological environment can continue to promote the improvement of people’s living standards,and can continuously enhance the city’s attractiveness,thus increasing the overall level of competitiveness.Therefore,the construction of an eco-city has become the focus of competition among cities,and many cities are constantly striving to achieve the goal of becoming a “Eco-city” and “Green city”.Xiangyang City is the sub-center city of Hubei Province and the central city of the Hanjiang River Valley,and the ecological center city of northwestern Hubei.The construction of an ecological city is even more urgent.At the same time,the importance of Xiangyang City as my hometown is self-evident to me.Combining my professionalism and choosing Xiangyang City as the topic for this paper,it is also an expression of my inseparable feelings for my hometown and I hope to contribute my own strength to my hometown construction.Based on this,this article will guide the relevant theories of eco-politics and discuss the problems existing in the ecological city construction of Xiangyang City from the perspective of ecological politics,and combine the long-term planning and specific practices of the Municipal Government in the field of ecological environment construction.The eco-city construction practices provide a new research idea,with the goal of benefiting the environmentally sound construction of my hometown.This article is divided into five parts: Part I: Introduction.This part mainly elaborates the basic content of the research,the main problems to be solved,the research methods and the innovation.And it summarizes the relevant researches at home and abroad,and draws the research focus of this article.The second part: theoretical analysis.The main concepts and theoretical basis of eco-politics and eco-city were introduced.The necessity of eco-city construction was analyzed from the perspective of eco-politics.The principles and standards of eco-city construction in the perspective of eco-politics were pointed out.The relevant research carried out for this paper was consolidated.Theoretical basis.The third part: Analysis of other country’s experiences of eco-city construction.From the perspective of eco-politics,the ecological city construction of Xiangyang City was analyzed.The basic situation of Xiangyang City and the existing practices in the construction of an ecological city were pointed out.Based on these,the advantages and problems in its construction were pointed out.Part IV: Experience and analysis of ecological city construction at home and abroad.The status quo and advantages of ecological city construction at home and abroad were analyzed and its construction experience was summarized.The fifth part: From the perspective of eco-politics,the path of building ecological city in Xiangyang City was proposed.Mainly from the ecological political theory point of view put forward the construction path,including a variety of systems and institutional mechanisms.
