This paper starts with the design and processing of woven spacer fabric reinforcements.The double shuttle spacer fabric sample loom was debugged and reformed.The problems in warping,procedure and weaving of the loom were found and solved through trial weaving.By testing the impact resistance and lateral pressure performance of composite panels with different link yarn heights and densities,the link yarn height of woven spacer fabric is 60 mm,warp and weft spacing of linking yarn is 10mm,and the woven spacer fabric is successfully weaved on a double shuttle spacer fabric sample loom.A new type of filling mold suitable for 60mm spacer fabric was designed.The impact resistance and the lateral pressure performance of the composite panels with different foam filling densities were tested.The foamed filling density was 0.13g/cm~3,and the polyurethane foam was filled in woven spacer fabric.Hot press molding is selected as resin composite method.The preheating temperature of resin is 60 ~oC,the heating temperature is 50 ~oC and the heating time is 2 hours.The composite molding of composite panel is completed.The thermal insulation,impact resistance,lateral pressure,flat pressure and bending properties of woven spacer fabric composite sandwich panels and FRP-PU sandwich panels were tested.The results show that the thermal conductivity,heat preservation rate and heat transfer coefficient of spacer fabric composite panel are close to those of FRP sandwich panel.It can be seen that spacer fabric composite panel has excellent heat preservation performance.The impact damage of spacer fabric composite panel was not obvious,but that of FRP sandwich panel was obvious.It shows that the spacer fabric composite panel has better impact resistance.The lateral compressive strength and failure load of spacer fabric composite panel did not decrease after impact,and there was no overall separation,while the lateral compressive strength and failure load of FRP sandwich panel decreased,and the surface layer and core layer were separated.It is proved that the spacer fabric composite panel has better impact resistance.Although the compressive modulus and compressive strength of spacer fabric composite panel are lower than those of FRP sandwich panel,it can recover to some extent after deformation.The FRP sandwich panel can not be recovered after deformation.Therefore,the compressive modulus and compressive strength of spacer fabric composite panel need to be improved,but there will be no overall damage and deformation recovery ability is strong.The flexural strength and failure load of spacer fabric composite panel are less than that of FRP sandwich panel.The surface of FRP sandwich panel is sagged downward but not broken,while the surface of FRP sandwich panel is broken under bending load.It can be seen that the flexural strength and failure load of spacer fabric composite panel need to be improved,but the integrity is good,and the surface layer is not easy to bend and fracture.
