Application Of Engraving Aetistry In Ivory Substitute Jewelry

Based on the background of Chinese ivory carving art,this paper introduces the new situation that ivory carving art faces under the influence of environment.Finding suitable ivory materials is essentially the protection of elephant species and the heritage of the culture and artistry of ivory carving art.Through theoretical and practical research,the antlers,mammoth ivory,ox bone,walrus ivory and ivory nut were analyzed,and the first two materials were considered to be the most suitable for hollow carving.Modern jewellery which is rich in subject matter and diverse in form,combines with ivory materials can start with the combination of metal materials and form contrast.The author analyzes the inevitability of the combination of ivory substitute materials and jewelry,and finally returns the theme of graduation creation to the traditional ivory carving theme with auspicious meanings.To create and practice by extracting,integrating,simplifying,deforming,and reconstructing traditional auspicious pattern elements,thus the produced works have a certain practical significance.
