With the country's steel industry to the production capacity and rapid growth in steel production capacity, steel prices competition intensified, the steel mills have to take a variety of forms to reduce the cost of steel manufacturing.Such as San Gang,a inland steel company, logistics costs accounted for 30%of steel manufacturing costs.70%of iron ore is from foreign imports, port mine logistics costs accounted for 33%of the total San Gang logistics costs.San Gang imports 600-650 million tons of iron ore every year, logistics cost is about 110 yuan per ton.All these factors created a heavy burden on logistic costs. Therefore, reducing the logistics cost of iron ore has been the main focus of San Gang steel industry.Based on the analysis of the lean logistics theory and the application of the lean logistics informatization technology, this paper puts forward the best practice method and suggestion of the lean logistics management of the San Gang Port Mine by drawing lessons from the advanced experience of the similar enterprises in the domestic use of lean logistics though improving business processes, achieving a steady reduction in enterprise logistics costs and to help enterprises make a profit instead of suffering a loss. This paper first elaborates the background and significance of the research on the lean logistics of San Gang Port, and introduces the research achievements, research methods and innovation points of experts in China and abroad on lean logistics management and port logistics management of iron and steel enterprises.Secondly, the present situation of port logistics and the problems of port logistics are analyzed. The possible reasons that affect costs are all listed with the analysis of port logistics costs and the use of a variety of analytical data.Through detailed data analysis,it is clear to identify the improvement focus of the port logistics. The port logistics business process analysis is also used to clearly understand the port logistics and transport conditions and to identify the bottleneck affecting port logistics.According to the theory of lean logistics demand, cost optimization theory and logistics integration management,San Gang Port logistics organization and management model is redesigned, the overall plan of the port logistics optimisation is developed and San Gang Port logistics lean mode is designed. Finally, according to the implementation plan of the San Gang port lean logistics model, through the development of scientific transport routes, the lowest cost of choice of transport, all these help optimize the port logistics system. Moreover,by using the computer network to track the whole process of port logistics, logistics bottlenecks can be eliminated. With the implementation of third-party logistics integration with San Gang management and the full use of third-party logistics to expand the port road traffic, all the above create the formation of a competitive logistics pattern with benefits. Some original suggestions to improve the port logistics costs and measures have already achieved good results in the practical use of the San Gang Steel Port.In conclusion, the research of this paper is based on the principle of "logistics benefit maximization" from the perspective of the overall development strategy of production, supply and sales logistics of San Gang Group.Through the detailed analysis of the operation flow and data of the San Gang Ports, key issues, system thinking and fine design, with logistics integration and lean logistics theory to enhance the overall solution. With the use of computer information technology, integration of third-party logistics resources, and thus to optimize San Gang logistics activities, tapping the purpose of reducing consumption.
