| Honing is the last part of engine bore size repair,and is an important technical means to control parameters such as bore roundness,cylindricity,and surface roughness.In response to the demand for a remanufactured engine honing process,this project carries out research on the automation control technology of a servo-driven honing machine tool and realizes the real-time monitoring function through digital twin technology.The control system of the CNC honing machine consists of PLC,upper computer,and servo drive system,using Siemens S7-1500 series PLC as the controller,S120 servo drive for the feed mechanism,V90 servo drive for the rest of the translation axis,stroke axis and spindle control,and SIMATIC II streamlined series panel for the upper computer.TIA Portal V16 is used to configure the equipment,and PROFINET communication is used between PLC and each hardware device.According to the honing processing action flow,write the control program and configure the HMI screen.Use NX MCD to build a digital twin virtual simulation platform,configure the physical properties and motion subsets of the machine tool model,and simulate the running action of each part of the machine tool during honing processing.OPC UA technology was used to build a communication bridge between PLC and NX MCD to realize real-time data transmission and ensure the authenticity of the simulation model.The accuracy of the simulation model was verified by conducting machining tests on the VW EA888 remanufactured cylinder block and using the twin model to monitor the machine tool machining action and information such as position and torque.And the surface of the honed cylinder bore was tested for roughness,and the tested structure reached the factory standard of the remanufactured engine... |
