With the completely opening of China’s two-child policy in 2015,the new population has increased.The consumption market share of children’s products is expanding rapidly,and children’s clothing is emerging day by day.The main force of children’s clothing consumption is mainly composed of post-80 s and post-90 s parents,they They have strong spending power,new oncept of consumption,hgher taste and aesthetics for children’s clothing.As an important part of children’s clothing design,patterns not only have a strong decorative effect,but also have a positive impact on children’s intellectual development and physical and mental growth.This thesis uses literature review method,research analysis method,case analysis method and practice innovation method to study the application of illustration elements in the 3~6 years old preschool children’s clothing pattern design.Firstly,defining the concept of illustration,explores the historical origin of illustration and the future development trend.Secondly,it summarizes the artistic characteristics of preschool children’s clothing illustration elements,and carries out a detailed discussion from the main aspects of morphological characteristics,color characteristics,process performance,design methods and composition forms.Then,using interview and questionnaire survey methods,analysis preschool children’s interest preferences and the preschool children’s clothing pattern illustration element preferences of consumer.Conducted a total of 28 interviews were and distributed 520 questionnaires.The results show that there are differences in the preferences of male and female parents in terms of color matching,theme and pattern style through questionnaire reliability analysis,descriptiveness analysis and cross-analysis.There is no significant difference in the expression techniques,pattern techniques and preschool children’s clothing patterns.In addition,post-80 s and post-90 s consumers are more respect for children’s opinions,children can influence parents’ purchasing decisions.Therefore,designers should fully consider children’s aesthetic preferences and psychological needs.Finally,try to design,combine the style of M.latin children’s clothing brand positioning,target consumers and competing illustrators to form a pattern analysis,select the source of inspiration,select popular colors,styles and fabrics,etc,and carry out illustration elements in preschool children’s clothing design practice.The thesis studies the aesthetic preferences of preschool children and parents,and is committed to combining illustration elements with preschool children’s clothing design,extracting elements from illustrations into preschool children’s clothing design.The artistic expression means of preschool children’s clothing design has been diversified,which is beneficial to lays a certain foundation for the personalized practice of preschool children’s clothing design,and provides some reference and inspiration for the design and application of children’s clothing patterns.
