The steel industry is a pillar of a country's industrialization and plays a vital role.Iron ore sintering as an important process in the steel industry,its high energy consumption and high dye emissions have been an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the characteristics of high energy consumption in the iron ore sintering process,thermal analysis experiments were carried out on the sintered mixture.In response to this problem,biomass charcoal was used instead of coke powder in the mixture to achieve the goal of reducing energy consumption.Biomass charcoal as a kind of clean fuel,it also play a role in reducing emissions.Based on the Qingdao Special Steel Sintering Cup Laboratory,this paper conducts a sintering cup experimental study on the effects of different proportions of biomass charcoal instead of coke powder fuel on energy saving and emission reduction.Based on the CFD theory,the numerical simulation of the sintering process of different proportions of biomass charcoal instead of coke powder was carried out in Fluent,and the calculation results were compared with the experimental results.This paper is of great significance for the realization of energy saving and emission reduction in the sintering process,mainly from the following aspects.(1)The principle of thermogravimetric analysis,DSC differential scanning calorimetry was analyzed,Thermogravimetric analysis experiments were carried out on the sintered mixtures with particle sizes of 40-60 mesh,60-80 mesh and 80-120 mesh using HCT-1 comprehensive thermal analyzer.the activation energy and pre-exponential factors were calculated by FWO method.The conventional sintering mixture with the particle size of 80~120 mesh and the different proportion of charcoal replaced the coke powder fuel were studied.The specific heat fitting formula under different conditions is obtained,Providing accurate mix parameters for numerical simulation of the sintering process(2)Based on the Qingdao Special Steel Sintering Cup Laboratory,the sintering mixture of conventional and different proportions of biomass charcoal instead of coke powder fuel was experimentally studied to obtain the temperature change of the layerat different heights of the sintering mixture during sintering,The change of smoke concentration,the data are organized into curves,and the reasons for the change law are analyzed in detail,The quality indexes of sintering ore,such as sintering speed,drum strength and drop strength,were tested,and the microstructure of sintered ore under different conditions was examined.(3)A geometric model based on the sintered cup,a gas field dynamics model,a porous medium model,and a chemical reaction model were established.And the numerical calculation of the established sintered cup model in Fluent is carried out,the temperature values of the layer and the concentration of smoke are obtained after replacing the coke powder with different proportions of wood carbon.These data were compared with the experimental data of the sintering cup.
