Graphite,with the title of'industrial monosodium giutamate",is one of dominant minerals in our country and has been widely used in metallurgy,light industry,machinery,electric power,chemical industry and national defense industry and other fields due to its good physical and chemical properties,With expanding application of graphite,high quality graphite especially large flake graphite resources cannot meet the needs of the narket,therefore it 1s becoming particularly important to develop and utilize aphanitic graphite mine which has complex disseminating and is hard to choose.This paper studies mineral processing technology of aphanitic graphite with dense massive structure in Inner Mongolia from several aspects like mine ore properties,roughing and scavenging condition,selection of conditions,middling processing way,closed-circuit tests and seli industry tests,etc.Raw ore characteristic research shows that the ore,which,belongs to aphanitic graphite with dense massive structure,has 66.50%fixed carbon content and 0.4997?0.6355 degree of graphitization.Graphite distributed in the ore with dense block assembly and closely intergrowthed with gangue mineral such as quartz,illite,chlorite,dolomite,pyrite,sodium feldspar.Laboratory roughing experiment research indicates that the best deter:ined conditions for rough are that grinding fineness-0.008 mm is 99.61%,pH=85?9.0.sodium carbonate is 1000 g/t,dosage of sodium hexametaphosphate is 300 g/t,emulsitied kerosene dosage is 10000 g/t,2#oil consumption is 1000 g/t,pulp concentration is 3%,scraping soaking is 5 min.Fixed carbon content and reeovely rate of rougher concentrate are 80.58%,88.53%respectively.Laboratory opened-circuit tests research,middling processing ways and closed-circuit tests research shows that "one coarse grinding,one roughing,one scavenging,five selections,is the optimum technological process and the homework of the merger of middlings was return roughing operation.Fixed carbon content and recovery rate of graphite ore concentrate in closed-circuit tests are 90.09%and 80.77%respectively.Continuously expanding mineral processing pilot bases on the best process parameter and ore dressing process determined in closed-circuit tests.After debugging and stable production.fixed carbon content and recovery rate of graphite concentrate are 89.88%and 89.88%respectively and meet the national LZ(-)45-92 middling carbon standard.Therefore,similar to laboratory test results,the stability and realizability of beneficiation process parameters and technical process is verified.
