The twin-roll casting and rolling technology has been widely used in the casting and rolling of metals such as magnesium,aluminum alloy and thin strip steel,and brings great economic benefits.In the twin-roll casting,the casting roll sleeve is an extremely important component,and its heat transfer capacity and strength directly affect the entire casting and rolling process.The heat radiated by the slab cooling and solidification is first transmitted to the inside of the sleeve through the heat conduction of the sleeve itself,and then taken away by the circulating cooling water inside the sleeve.However,since the ferroalloy has higher melting point than magnesium and aluminum alloy,and the thickness of the thin strip is thick,the casting roll will bear a greater thermal load when the twin-roll casting technology is used to produce the ferroalloy,so the casting roll and cooling The system puts forward higher requirements and needs further research.Therefore,based on the study of the influence of the cross-sectional shape and cross-section size of the cooling channel on the cooling effect,a reasonable water channel structure is designed to study the cooling water flow field and the cooling water and roll jacket temperature field of the casting roll.Through theoretical simulation and experimental comparison and analysis of heat transfer of cooling water flow in three flow channels with the same cross-section area and different cross-section shapes,it is found that the cooling effect of the flow channel with rectangular cross-section shape is the best.On this basis,the influence of the depth-width ratio of the rectangular section on the cooling effect is studied,and it is found that the cooling effect increases with the increase of the depth-width ratio of the rectangular section.On the basis of the previous research,five sections of cooling channel of casting roll with different depth-width ratio were designed,and the temperature field of roller sleeve,cooling water and flow field were simulated and compared.After casting and rolling were stabilized,the circumferential,axial and radial temperatures of the sleeves with five sections of depth-width ratio were compared with the temperature field and flow field of cooling water,and the depth-width ratio of the sections with better cooling effect was obtained at 1:5,providing theoretical basis for the design of the casting roll.
