The surface quality of steel plate is one of the important indexes of steel plate quality.The quality of surface directly affects the quality and performance of final product,and determines the competitiveness of the product in the market.The largest proportion of the steel plate surface defects produced by continuous production line is the residue of the leveling liquid,leveling liquid residue will cause corrosion,yellow film,dot and spot defects.Air blowing technology is the key technology to reduce the residual defects of the leveling liquid,and the nozzle is the key part of the air blowing process,so,in the production process of the continuous production line,the research on the hydrodynamic performance of air purging nozzles has important theoretical significance and practical value to reduce and control the residual defects of the leveling liquid.In this paper,CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamies)tool is used to simulate the flow field of the air purging nozzle of 1450 mm temper mill,and the numerical simulation of the flow field model of the air blowing steel plate with different blowing distance,find out the optimum distance to blow the steel plate in the air purging nozzle of the air blowing system.For the 1450 mm temper mill,the function of the air purging nozzle in the air blowing system is researched,the characteristics of the airflow used in the air purging nozzle,and the numerical simulation models and computational fluid dynamics equations needed for numerical simulation.According to the specific conditions of 1450 mm temper mill air purging nozzle,the CFD related parameters needed before the numerical simulation are set up,and a two-dimensional model of the air-purge nozzle structure and a three-dimensional model of the spray beam were established.The flow field inside and outside the nozzle was simulated and analyzed,and the influence of outlet distance of the nozzle on the flow pattern of the outlet flow is obtained,and simulation of the impact flow field of air blowing blast impact blowing steel plate is carried out.The blowing effect of different blowing distances is compared and the best blowing distance is obtained.The distance selected in the simulation is applied to the production line,and the practical application effect of the research result is verified by the on-line surface detection of the production line.The agreement between the simulation results and the practical application results is verified.
