The mechanics of ABS and HIPS with excellent performance,are widely used in household appliances,especially household appliances shell.With the home appliance product updates faster and faster,more and more electronic waste plastic shell,plastic shell in order to reduce the harm to the environment,the need for the resource utilization.Waste ABS and HIPS similar density,similar in appearance,the modern separation technology to separate them,so the two blended modification.Because ABS containing polar groups SAN and nonpolar HIPS incompatible,therefore adding compatibilizer make them blend.This paper studies the maleic anhydride grafted acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS-g-MAH)preparation method and research of maleic anhydride(MAH)and the amount of initiator(DCP)effect of compatibilizer content on the grafting rate.Then the self-made compatilizer of waste ABS and HIPS blend,compatibility of blends.Further research and enhance the performance of glass fiber blends.First of all,this paper by melt grafting method,using ABS as matrix material,by grafting with different content of MAH monomer and initiator DCP,prepared by graft ABS-g-MAH.Through the comprehensive performance,a variety of ways of characterization of graft research shows that the infrared spectra of cm-1 and 1859cm-1 there are 1781 characteristic peaks in the graph,confirmed that MAH was successfully grafted onto the ABS.With the grafting rate first increased and then decreased and increased MAH DCP in DCP,the dosage of 0.8g,dosage of MAH was 5g,the graft graft rate up to 1.23%.In addition,the melt flow rate is also affected by the MAH and DCP content,with the increase of the amount of initiator,the melt flow rate increased first and then decreased;with the increase of MAH dosage,melt index increased.The picture shows the SEM after adding MAH into ABS by the ductile brittle material,so its mechanical properties are also affected,with the increasing amount of MAH,the notched impact strength of ABS-g-MAH decreases continuously.Subsequently,the self-made grafting rate of 1.23% ABS-g-MAH by melt blending method into r-ABS/r-HIPS,compatibility and mechanical properties of graft copolymer on the blends.The research shows that the addition of compatibilizer in the mechanical properties of the blends were also increased.The mechanical performance can be found in the r-ABS/r-HIPS mass ratio was 60/40,the ABS-g-MAH content is 16%,the mechanical properties of the blends best.According to the infrared spectra of carbonyl peak intensity in the figure decreased after the addition of compatibilizer,that changed the intermoleculardipole moment.SEM observation also reflects the compatibilizer blends the dispersed phase interface has become increasingly blurred,more and more small particles,good compatibility.Blend compatibility good,cause the melt flow rate of the blends variation,good thermal stability.According to the pyrolysis kinetics can be calculated by adding compatibilizer,activation of blends can increase,the average activation energy is 231.15KJ/mol.Finally,the coupling agent treated glass fiber with r-ABS/r-HIPS mass ratio was 60/40,melt extrusion of ABS-g-MAH16% blends,comprehensive performance of glass fiber blends.First of all,through the analysis of FT-IR,SEM and TG curve can be determined as part of the epoxy resin glass fiber,glass fiber is 67%,the epoxy resin is about 33%.Then according to the mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced test found that the mechanical properties of the blends increased,when the GF content is 20%,the highest comprehensive mechanical properties of blends.SEM observations show that the compatible interaction agent and epoxy resin has better adhesion to glass fiber blends.The addition of glass fiber is that the melt flow rate decreased,found that pyrolysis process of glass fiber reinforced blends can be divided into two stages,from TG DTG,the first stage is between 375?-485?,the second stage is between 500?-600?.
