| Petrochemical projects have the characteristics of complex process,large investment,and high danger.Once quality problems occur,there will be serious consequences such as fire,explosion,poisoning,and environmental pollution.Design is one key factor that affects the quality of the project,therefore,it is necessary to study the quality management of the design institute as EPC contractor for petrochemical projects.This thesis studies the MMA(methyl methacrylate,mainly used in the production of Plexiglas)EPC project completed by S Design Institute.In the process of studying,through the collection and management of important data such as design alteration,requisition documents and construction liaisons,the quality problems in design,procurement and construction are put forward and the causing reasons in terms of quality problems are found out piece by piece,and then using the analysis tools of quality management—causal analytical method to analyze and summary the cause of these quality problems to identify the key factors—man factor,machine factor,material factor,method factor and environment factor,that affect project quality.After that,combining the theories of PDCA Cycle and Total Quality Management(TQM)to control and develop the factors.Firstly,to carry out the project quality planning and project quality control,project quality objectives are quantified,project quality management organization is established,job responsibilities are defined and the whole process control is implemented in the three stages of design,procurement and construction,which improves the factor of man factor,material factor and method factor,thus ensuring the quality of the project.Secondly,to improve project quality further,three improvement measures are put forward as follows: By the measure increasing the design depth of SP3 D model,the machine factor is improved and obstacles situation between pipelines and equipments on site is greatly reduced;By the measure adding a step of design evaluation,the method factor is improved.For instance,to get purchasing personnel,construction personnel and the Owners involved in the design stage,quality problems are effectively reduced occurring in the stage of project procurement,construction and project acceptance;By the measure optimizing the design structure,the environment factor is improved,which has a beneficial effect on improving the coordination and communication among designers and avoiding the quality problems caused by lacks of communication among specialties.The research results of this thesis can improve the quality management of EPC project completed by the S Design Institute,so that the quality of the project can be further improved.At the same time,it also serves a management reference for project manager of petrochemical EPC project. |
