The flat glass has become the basic material of many high-tech industries such as solar cells,liquid crystal displays and LED displays.These rising technology industries put forward higher requirements to the inherent homogenization of glass.Mechanical stirring is an effective means to improve the homogenization quality of molten glass.Therefore,it is necessary to establish a quantitative index to characterize and evaluate the effect of stirring on the homogenization quality of molten glass.In this paper,the forward flow on the section X=41.2m in front of the stirrers is taken as the research object.By adding particles into DPM model of Fluent software,the trajectories of the forward flow glass in circulation I and II under the conditions of using stirrers and not using stirrers were simulated.Based on the data without using stirrers,an evaluation system for the influence of stirring on the homogenization quality of the forward flow glass in circulation I and II is proposed by means of mathematical statistics of the motion trajectory of the glass after stirring.First,three indexes(stirring time index TI,particle radius index RI and particle dispersion index DI)were defined to describe the influence of stirring on the forward flow glass homogenization quality in circulation I and II.Then the homogenization index HI is used to judge the homogenization quality of the forward flow glass after stirring.Finally,by comparing the influence of random sampling and stratified sampling on the homogenization index HI value,the representative of mathematical statistics method to characterize the influence of stirring on the homogenization quality of the forward flow glass in circulation I and II is verified.Through the analysis of the numerical simulation results,the additional effects of stirring on the homogenization quality of the forward flow glass are obtained,including: the corrosion of refractories at the melting furnace neck wall is aggravated,the inhomogeneity of refractories in the forward molten glass is increased,and the homogenization quality of the forward molten glass becomes worse;affecting the thermal homogenization of the forming flow glass,the transverse temperature difference on the surface of the forming flow decreases and the longitudinal central temperature difference increases;stirred reflux,reduce the homogenization quality of reflux and forward flow.
