The research was developed around promoting the recovery of sulfur concentrate at certain lead-zinc mine.The separation process of sulfur was inspected at certain lead-zinc mine.Results showed that about 15.24% of sulfur was lost including 8.92%in the flotation tailings with the sulfur grade of 5.4%,and 6.33% in the overflow of hydrocyclone with the sulfur grade of 15.00%.The chemical composition,mineral composition,etc were examined by the mineralogy study of tailings.Based on the mineralogy,the experiment process were set up including the re-flotation of flotation tailings,the flotation of the overflow of hydrocyclone and the flotation of the underflow of hydrocyclone.Laboratory experiments showed,that the sulfur concentrate of which the grade was 35.5% and the recovery was 55.25% was got with the flotation of tailings by adopting the open circuit flotation flowsheet of single-stage roughing and two stage cleaning.With the grinding process brought in,the sulfur grade increased to 43.50%and the recovery decreased to 50%.The sulfur concentrate of which the grade was43.5% and the recovery was 69.81% was got with the flotation of the overflow of hydrocyclone by adopting the close circuit flotation flowsheet of single-stage roughing,two stage cleaning and single-stage scavenging.The sulfur concentrate of which the grade was 46.50% and the recovery was 88.88% was got with the flotation of underflow of hydrocyclone by adopting the close circuit flotation flowsheet of single-stage roughing,two stage cleaning and single-stage scavenging.Based on laboratory experiments,industrial experiments were carried out.The sulfur concentrate of which the grade was 47.22% and the recovery was 88.85% was got with the flotation of the underflow of hydrocyclone.The recovery of sulfur concentrate at certain lead-zinc mine raised 4.09%.
